Job Subsidies Currently Available for Businesses - 29th March 2016
There are a number of job subsidies and grants currently available to employers who hire eligible job seekers including mature age, long-term unemployed, Indigenous, youth or parents.
A wage subsidy or grant is a payment to encourage businesses to employ eligible job seekers.
Here at AVCA we appreciate the financial challenges small businesses may face when hiring new employees. Wage subsidies can help employers to expand their business and employ new staff, which will help boost the economy and create more jobs.

Jobs Action Plan
Run by: Office of State Revenue
Details: If registered for payroll tax, receive up to $5,000 for hiring new employees.
Fresh Start
Run by: Office of State Revenue
Details: If you're eligible for the above, then you can receive up to $1,000 for new employees who were made redundant from a former employer.
Small Business Grant
Run by: Office of State Revenue
Details: If not registered for payroll tax, receive up to $2,000 for hiring new employees.
Restart
Run by: Department of Employment
Details: Receive up to $10,000 for hiring new employees over 50 years of age.
